Mötley Crüe and Dodge Rock Gas Monkey

The Dodge brand’s ultimate 100th birthday bash!

More than 2,000 members of  Dodge Nation — some driving from as far away as Massachusetts, California and Manitoba, Canada – filled the parking lot of  Gas Monkey Live in Dallas, Texas on Nov. 1 to help ring in the 100th anniversary of the Dodge brand.

The brand celebrated this milestone with its biggest fans with rides in Dodge Viper drift cars, Dodge Hellcat Thrill Rides, full-size Dodge Charger and Challenger simulators where participants tested their driving skills in a fun and safe environment, a local cover band and airbrushed Dodge and real Hart and Huntington tattoos rounded out the festivities.

However the cars were the true stars of the show – with more than 850 vehicles on display by proud Dodge ChargerChallenger and Viper owners who were invited to the exclusive “Dodge Rocks Gas Monkey” event.

The company also displayed its most recent additions to the Dodge muscle car lineup. The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat—the fastest, most powerful sedan in the world, with an NHRA-certified quarter-mile elapsed time of 11.0 seconds—and the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat—the fastest and most powerful muscle car ever were onsite. Both have a 707-horsepower, 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V-8 engine. Additional Dodge and SRT vehicles, such as the 2015 Challenger Scat Pack, Charger R/TDart GTDurango R/T and Viper GTS were also featured at the event.

The bash culminated in a private concert by legendary rock band Mötley Crüe. Dodge is sponsoring the band’s The Final Tour: All Bad Things Must Come To An End and members Tommy Lee, Mick Mars, Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx stormed into the Gas Monkey Live lot in a quartet of tire-smoking Challenger SRT Hellcats.

Playing at Gas Monkey Live, one of the most intimate venues the band has played in decades, the packed house was treated to an earth-shaking set of their greatest hits including “Kickstart My Heart.”

After first using Mötley Crüe’s hit single “Kickstart My Heart” in three 30-second commercials for the Charger and Challenger (www.youtube.com/dodge), Dodge partnered with the band earlier this year to present Mötley Crüe’s “The Final Tour” which kicked off in North America July 2 and runs through Nov. 22 before the tour continues overseas in 2015.
