It was a normal work day at the FCA US LLC in Auburn Hills, Mich. – except for occasional BMX bikers who would race or jump past employees.

The Vans BMX team descended upon the complex for the day, drawing in a crowd of onlookers who were curious about the men doing bike tricks down the escalators in the building, gliding down hand rails in the cafeteria and other locations inside and outside the complex.

The BMX bikers are part of a team from Vans, the California-based sports shoe and apparel company. The company also sponsors skateboarding, surfing, and motocross teams.

The FIAT brand’s partnership with Vans is what brought the bikers to Auburn Hills.

“Working with Vans, we wanted to partner up with a BMX team that liked doing big ideas, big stunts,” Casey Hurbis, Head of FIAT Brand Communications, said.

The video was posted on the FIAT USA Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts.

“It celebrates the partnership between Vans and FIAT, featuring the BMX team doing stunts at a great venue,” Hurbis said.

While this is the first time BMX bikers have ridden around the complex, this is not FIAT’s first event with Vans. The two brands have collaborated on other events such as the U.S. Open of Surfing, which is the world’s largest surfing event that is held in Huntington Beach, Calif., each year.
